In August 2019, Sherwood Forest Education Partnership was successful in obtaining heritage lottery funding to make a unique studio album!

Together in Time (project name) is an intergenerational music project involving the local community in Ollerton telling unique and inspiring stories of years gone by.

Sherwood Forest Education Partnership holds a unique collection of photographs, newspaper cuttings, recordings going back to the 1930’s and wanted to find a way of bringing some of these stories to life.

Working with local professional recording studio Superbee Community Studio, we held a number of consultations with local songwriters to help us capture the stories first hand by writing songs, enabling the memories to live on through music, allowing us to document some extraordinary stories that we have uncovered, to celebrate the past and to raise aspirations for a brighter future.
